I first bought a Handi-rilfe in .223 with SB2 receiver. This gun was purchased with a scope rail and no sights. A few months ago I sent the receiver in and had it fitted for a Huntsman barrel. When it came back from the factory I put a Williams peep sight on the barrel.
Here's the problem: I find that I really have to try hard to push my head down against the stock to get my eye low enough to see through the peep sight. (This would probably be the case with the factory notch sight, too although I didn't try it.) When I have my scoped .223 barrel on the receiver, the scope lines up to my very nicely. But with the muzzleloader barrel and peep sights, I have to push my cheek down so hard on the buttstock I can actually feel my cheekbone pushing against the buttstock.
Here's the question: Is there a different buttstock that comes with a Handi-rifle than what comes with a Huntsman? Or, is there a different buttstock that comes with a barrel fitted with scope rail than comes with a barrel fitted with open sights?
Anybody else find it hard to get their head down low enough to see through the Huntsman sights?
