Heck yes I am a smiling picked up a used bu beauty that I traded for today. This makes my 3rd 99 this is really a 1895 model. Anyway I loves it. It has the indian logo like in a brass medillion on side of stock of savage indian. Added a 30/30 to my collection  a week or so ago in a mod 340 bolt action . My other 2 savages are a 99c  brandnew in 243 and an oldie but goldie in 300 savage. This dealer friend of mine sure does have some nice  toys. I also looked at a 32ac;p savage pistol and acouple of wooden stocked 22/20 ga savage over- unders. Savages are a killing me.Ha Ha what a way to go.with a smile on my face

Good for you, Dave... glad to hear your 75th. Anniversary Model 99 finally arrived.  You're probably going to find the .308 "kicks" considerably harder than the .300 Savage from which the .308 was derived.

At least, that's what several Model 99 owners who owned both calibers have told me.

Good luck.....
