I have purchased three Bell and Carlson synthetic stocks. Two for Savages and one for a Howa 1500. They have all been drop-in with one requiring some minor trimming. The accuracy of both my Savages increased as a result of the new stocks. The Howa is at a gunsmith to free float the barrel and glass bed it. I didn't do any bedding on the Savages. I bought my B&C stocks at Midway USA.
Hunting and fishing are not matters of life or death. They are much more important than that.

If you can, get the Medalist stock they sell.  It has a full length aluminum bedding block.  I swapped my Browning's stock and it has really added consistency.  The one thng about them is that they are not very sleek feeling - at least not like the svelt factory Browning stock.  Might take a little getting used to but mine was also complete drop infit.  I noticed that the mag didn't bind once I switched stocks.
