Best of the West Rifles
« on: October 26, 2006, 01:45:52 PM »
Don't know if any of you watch The Best of the West on the Men's channel, but I was perusing their website yesterday and noticed they're now selling their own line of rifles and scopes.

Rifles come in a few different models and include a scope with a bullet-drop-compensating turret so you can "dial in" to a specific range.  Rifle/scopes are customized to a specific ammo load.  They've developed their own action, although they offer a slightly cheaper version with a trued Remington action.  They add "match grade" barrels (don't give the manufacturer) and your choice of walnut or composite stock.  Regrettably, they don't make 'em for leftys; but, even if they did, I won't be dropping $4,875 on a rifle and scope any time soon.  You can check 'em out at www.gunwerks.com

I also learned country crooner Michael Martin Murphy will be the show's new host.  Most of the other on-air personalities will still be with the show with the notable exception of John Burns.  Not sure what's happened to him.

It looks like the Long Range Hunter comes in left hand.

But I'm with you....there is no way I would drop that kind of money on a rifle.
