Catfishing

I have bass and panfish fished all my life but kinda got interested in catfishing what would you reccomend as a setup and bait.  I live in Kansas and fish spillways and a large lake.

I use an abu 5000 strung with trilene 15 lb test on a medium action 6 foot pole se,s to work for 15 lb cats and less if your going after the bigguns go to a 7 foot heavy pole like the ugly stik and an abu 6000 or 6500  use cut shad or and oily fish for the smaller worms nightcrawlers cant be beat
