Not a surprise, although we have no idea what Pakis might be doing, he still reminds me of Pres. Shrub Jr.'s "Shock and Awe" bs.

It is likely, a pure lack of understanding on the on the part of lefties and left leaning folks !  We should all be aware that our enemies follow every statement uttered by our president is closely watched by those who would test our resolve.

The bold and/or "colorful" statements by Pres Trump, are not made so much for domestic consumption, as for manipulating our foes !

Let's go back to when Pres Carter allowed the crazy Mullahs to manipulate him ! They had Carter completely "buffaloed"; so thoroughly as to render him powerless,
even in the face of their taking our entire Teheran embassy prisoners !

After Carter's failed and shameful, "desert rescue", those same Mullahs started to watch closely, Carter's Republican potential opponents for the presidential chair.
They apparently even checked out R. Reagan's cowboy movies !

Perhaps all here can recall how, as when Pres Reagan was being sworn in, the embassy captives were even then, taking off from Teheran, on their way home.

Word came later, that the cuckoo crowd of Mullahs thought that 'the cowboy' may just come over, guns blazing...to rescue the Americans.

..Which is why I have a question when some of our own get sucked in, taking "offense" over statements made for the benefit of the crazy crowd now running Iran..

Reagan was going to turn loose the Devil Dogs as the Germans called them… there is doubt cast upon it’s origin though, no matter IMO.

The Marines were supposedly given the "Devil Dogs" at the battle of Belleau Wood during WW1.  There are so many sources that agree on this, that I am inclined to accept it.

Here, the 6th Marines tell the story,   https://www.6thmarines.marines.mil/Units/1st-Battalion/History/ , and I am not ready to argue with them !  :D ;D

That patch shown in the link does bear a uncanny likeness to the Indian shown on the Army's 2nd infantry division..

I wore the 2nd inf patch for a time.....It is bigger
the right/left yardstick is a French Revolution-born human measure. It reflects the political spectrum, which is determined by the people’s range of beliefs. Christians, however (and everyone, in fact), should make Truth their yardstick. This inerrant guide doesn’t compromise and build consensus, either; it’s not a politician. It dictates where reality lies. And in a civilization claiming 2+2=5, it’s with the “extremist” who insists it’s 4. For God’s realism so often is man’s radicalism.

I have often wondered..so they must be close.

I don't know what they are like now, but the Army used to be insistent that we change patches with almost any move, even some temporary ones.

As an NG trooper, I wore the 27th inf patch, then upon entering the army in 1965 (basic) it was the 69th inf div (Ft Dix), then the armored replacement training center patch
(ARTC) essentially an armored patch with no number (Ft Knox), then the 4th armored div, (FT Hood)then the 4th Army patch (Ft Sam Houston).

Later, the third Army patch  (Ft Jackson), followed by the USAREUR patch (Pirmasens Germany)..just like the one  Gen Eisenhower wore.  Six altogether, unless I missed one !   :D ;D

Were you stationed at FT Lewis, with the 2nd infantry ?
