Thanks for the replies, guess I'll have to find another method for those without a CCW. . . .
. . Any other suggestions for the non CCW folks?
Just my opinion-
The whole congregation needs to have a serious
meeting and discuss the purpose of any security
planning .
Find out who all is willing to use lethal means to
defend the rest of the congregation, women, children,
elderly, etc., and only those should be considered
for the designated security team, and should
received advanced self defense firearms training.
Either that, or hire armed security.
Today is a different day from 50,40,30, even 10
years ago.
It's not like when I was a kid and the cops advised
people to just hand over your wallet/purse, and
they'd go away and leave you alone.
We've reverted back to the early days of the
country when many churches were targets of
opportunity, and armed church members carried
their black powder flintlocks/caplocks at the
ready while the rest of the congregation were
worshipping.
There's many today who get a thrill from doing
harm to others. We used to execute those people
so they could no longer do harm, but we got
soft and some kind of goofy guilt complex has
infected many people, and the coping gene
has been bred out of the population.
Everybody will have to decide whose life is
more valuable, that of those gathering to
worship the Creator, or those who would do
harm.
It's not a choice to be made with several alternative
solutions. It's completely one or completely
the other.
Nobody else can decide
