I am watching one of the MY MUSIC shows PBS filmed over a decade ago.
This one covers the music of the sixties and was a bit amazed to see Eric Clapton playing
back-up music for some of the performers, but then it dawned on me Clapton and most of what
became major artist in the seventies and eighties all started on then little know bands in the
sixties.
As this show covers all of the sixties, I had forgotten just how much rock music changed during
the sixties, although the existence of Top 40 made such a wide range of music popular and possible
with most covered on the same radio station compared to today.
Another thing that really gets one attention is how many of those on the show are now no longer
among the living.
