I never rode my motorcycle in winter, but tried to do so with a 10 speed bike.  Made the mistake of riding down an alley and found out far you slide with your bike when you dump it in an icy alley. :'(

Don't feel too bad.
I had to ride my friend's trike for
some miles after he had a spell
when we were riding in a different
state.
It was a good Goldwing Motor Trike
conversion,  just about the best you
can buy.
It was like a riding mower in sand IMO.
Nothing at all wrong with it, it's just
a different suspension geometry, much
like when these people alter the ride
height on cars and trucks.
I've had a couple of Goldwing Interstates,
and on the highway it's like sitting in
a new lazy boy recliner with ball bearing
wheels rolling down a teflon-lined chute.

ya they ride completely different than a 2 wheel bike. no counter steering. you actually steer them like a 4 wheeler. takes more upper body strength to turn them. when i road them in the past it took some getting use to. also hard to break the habit of instinctively wanting to put your feet down when your stopping.

Yeaa, spring is pretty much here where I live, looks like I'm going to have to pull the plow off the Harley.
