  I remain surprised at the longevity of this post. It seems that it has accomplished one clarifying factor, that being that there are a number here, who seem to be suffering from the symptoms of TDS! 

 

So its your presumption that anyone that is against the war in Iran has TDS? Oh yeah and they obviously hate Israel too. Quotes right out of the Lindsey Graham play book. Since any of you have nothing to offer in support of the war, I guess false labels are applied to anyone that is against foreign nation building, and regime changing.

   There is plenty to support such a move  How about their being only weeks away from a nuclear weapon?  How about their avowed efforts to destroy us, the "Big Satan"?
   The fact that their radical, Wahabist version of Islam calls for provoking an Apocalypse type world war, also strikes a chord.

   The fact that numerous intelligence agencies have cited the likelyhood of their having nuclear weapons very soon, should alert some to the dangers involved..when
   fanatical schitsos get hold of such weapons !

  Should we wait for a nuclear 9/11?  Should we dither and delay over our grandchildren's future lives, so as not to "offend" some mad bomber crazies?

   Personally, I don't like the concept of gambling with our children's, grandchildren's and great grandchildren's lives...

  First the lefty media says the Iranian regime is no where near a nuclear weapon.. Yet they admit that the regime has some 400+ KGs of such components..
   
 Despite all your protestations, I would rather trust the president, the FBI, CIA,  military intelligence and the decorated veterans in congress, ahead of 3-4 disgruntled individuals, who are imbibing in what appears to be a conspiracy theory, primarily aimed at Israel..and by default, the USA!

  Can you admit trhat Pres Trump is many, many miles ahead of at least the last two presidents we suffered under?  Go ahead, say it !

Iran has been at war with the United States since 1979 regardless of what others say. IMO they deserve a good spanking also, the way I look at it they have been poking the screeching Eagle for a long time and are our mortal enemies so, whether this or that I’m happy we’re kicking their asses.

  Of course, the Iranian regime (not the Persian people) have been killing thousands of people since simple Jimmy C. allowed them to walk into Iran and take over.

  Since then we have suffered many American dead by way of them..  The 241 Marine "peace keepers" in the Lebanon barracks, the US embassies which have
   been bombed, USS Cole, and numerous other attacks, not to mention the 2 attempts against the World trade Center..one successful.

    Not Emperor Hirohito, Not Adolph Hitler, Nor Benito Mussolini carried for years, a promise to murder Americans whenever and wherever possible.

    Perhaps Chief Tecumseh did, but I have no pertinent information concerning that !

There appears to be some confusion here on which muslims are which.  Wahhabism is “Sunni” Islam, they have been the prime religious movement behind the “House of Saud” since they backed the original “Saud” who founded the country of Saudi Arabia.  Our “ friends” the Saudi’s (who also gave Jared Kushner $ 2 Billion) are the ones who attacked the World Trade Center - twice, they also prohibit the US from having any troops in Saudi Arabia.  In contrast the Persians / Iranians are Shia Muslim.  They don’t get any byes, they just aren’t the only ones who are not our friends.  At least they are honest about hating us, unlike those Arabs who pretend to be our friends.

  Thanks for the correction, I thought Wahabism was a strain of fanaticism present with Islam, no matter which of the two major branches.  I did understand that the Saudis tried to placate them, rather than simply kick them out !

  The Sufis on the other hand, are a mystic cult in Islam, associated with both Sunni and Shia.  They seem relatively quiet now, but historically (11th & 12th centuries) they were a challenge.

Let me add a bit to that set of ideas. The “dance” of the dervishes was not “crazy” in the sense that we often understand that word. It is form of “prayer in motion”. It is formulaic and disciplined regardless of the uses to which it was put.

I suggest that it matters not which sect of Islam they are from.  When they ALL dance in the streets after some bad event happens to "The Great Satan", or even infidels, NONE of them are our "friends".
As such, they ALL deserve whatever damage they sustain in a war.

And what do you think it would take on Trumps part to finish the so called job? Also at what cost to American lives, and not only to the world economy, but Americas? Trump made a mistake going in. Now he wants an out, but really doesn't have one.  Those people have been fighting for centuries, and will not give into an agreement that doesn't benefit them. They don't care if their people die. Trump thought he would go in and drop some bombs and missiles, kill their leaders, and Iran was going to wave the white flag. Hasn't happened, and it won't.
