        Yes, I learned decades back, when it gets below -20 , it gets noticilby colder with each new -5 dgrees.
        At still air temps. of -15 daylight, my long johns come out of the drawer.
        Been in -50 but you had to go NOrth  of here plus or minus 100 miles , of here, back then,  to get the extreme dangerous; no car blockheater, no go any where, weather.

  I was in -62F, I didn't think it was much worse than -40F that I was in a time or two every year.

 Now that I am 89 yrs old, +20 degrees feels like -20 degrees used to feel..        Oh well, C'est la vie....
