  Made by the thousands and air dropped to the French maquis during WW2...  45 ACP..single shot..but still a welcome gift to the disarmed French underground.

   ..And it looks like there is substantial felt recoil..  Is that true ?

  Apparently the C IA developed a replacement, but it saw virtually no service and didn't last long. Frankly, to me it doesn't look like it is half what the original was..
