Just a suggestion on high blood pressure
« on: Today at 03:53:09 PM »
I hava had high BP for years and took supplements to keep it managed fast forward to mid-March and high BP caused a stroke My wife found me laying on the floor and an ambulance ride and chopper ride to the hospital made a believer out of me on taking care of my BP. After weeks in a medicallyinduced coma they eventually weaned mt off of the respirstorMY left side was impacted and I'M still trying to relearn how to use my left hand they stuck me in a wheelchair and I was told I was fisabled and would never walk again. withe help of my wife and a physical therapist I learned ho to walk again and have to use a walking stick/cane vut am very grateful to be alive All glory to God on my recovery physically and cognitvel. IT's been a long road on recovery and I"m definitely taling care of my BP now and check it regularly to keepi t under control with meds.

Glad you're doing better, and glad you're back.

I am on 5 BP meds but combined they are keeping my BP in check. My blood sugar on the other hand has recently shot out of sight high. I'm checking it twice daily and recording it to show to the doctor when I get an appointment. My kidneys have been at only around 35% functional so dunno if that's the issue or my sugar med just not getting the job done.

I'm glad to hear you are back around to motivating and wish you all the best in your continued recovery.

A parting gift from the Doc overseeing my recovery was a prescription for a med to help with type 2 diabetes I ha no idea I was diabetic until then. I did learn over the years to avoid sweetsb ecause they made me feel bad when I ate them kind of like the old joke about the feller who tells his doc it hurts a certain way when he does something and the doc says then don't do that. I learned to avoid sweets Dang I sure would like some dutch apple cobbler right about nowt opped with some vanilla ice cream. Those days are over I guess until they come up with a cure for diabetes, or an effective treatment.
