This is despicable. Amazon, Etsy and eBay are selling anti-Trump merchandise, callously wishing for his death.

Hadn't seen that.  But, they also sell a ton of Trump merchandise.  Not a political statement, just capitalism.

Not so much the anti-Trump sentiment, it’s the death wish. Thats not acceptable. Call people what you will, print whatever trash you feel, but exacerbating a death cult, that deserves definite attention. Especially in light of the current political climate.

Looked it up and they do. Also they have Charlie Kirks book on the top 10 selling list. And yes, I do occasionally shop on Amazon.

I believe that nothing sold on Etsy or fleabay is sold by the site. It's all just listed there for sale no different than folks who list stuff on the classifieds here. I know Etsy is where Matt and Becky sell the stuff they print. Etsy takes a cut of the sale price for their profit. Fleabay just charges you to list stuff.

Amazon is a different story. But I think they say that something like 60% to 70% of stuff sold there is much like the stuff on fleabay and Etsy. Amazon doesn't have a hand in it other than letting it be listed.

I buy a LOT of stuff from Amazon. Close to half of our food comes from there. I buy meats and veggies from a small store about 3 miles from me but most all else comes from Amazon. Most of what I buy is sold by small stores and is just listed on Amazon not technically sold by Amazon.

Sometimes such sites will take down ads for merchandise like you mention but unless it is called to their attention they have no clue what those folks list for sale.

Yes. I buy from Amazon.  It is my lifeline.  Everything associated with my health we have bought there and submit receipts to insurance for reinbursement.  I can no longer walk.  Insurance would rather I give up than continue to get stronger and potentially walk again.


My wife is tired from 3 going on 5 years of keeping me alive but doing her very best to work 39-hours a week and not get fired taking care of me while passing by the house in the interstatial minutes between her out of office business events.  Her boss and co-workers are 110% committed to help her succeed in every way possible.  They have been great shielding her from the Main Office.


Back to Amazon - I pay one reasonable annual payment for shipping and annually use hundreds of shipments averaging triple the reaasonable price.  Amazon gives periodic Special Pricing. Venders offer online discounts.


I ordered a hunting blind, before this malady took my legs away.  I was offered a FREE  chair and it is really nice.  I have had Prime Gift Cards I did not order that totaled more than the purchase price of my order, so I got the order free using Amazon dollars.


There is a lot I like about Amazon.

I’m a little surprised at some of these responses. I shop there as well, my cart has a lot of gadgets in my ‘save for later’ file right now. I also understand selling merch with slogans calling names or whatever, I have some that punk Biden. But this death promotion is a different can of worms. Desensitizing people with this tripe is pretty much what got Mr. Kirk assassinated. Selling a t-shirt looking forward to someone’s death, anyone’s death, is beyond the pale. I’d like to think we’re better than that.

After all the teeth grinding, heartburn and cussing I did about the last Presidency. I have decided that I won't give people, businesses or news outlets the power to tick me off, ruin my day, or cause me to loudly complain to the woman that agrees with me most often.

Yes there is a lot wrong with a lot of things and situations, not to mention people. But they are not wrong here, and I choose my people and situations appropriately.

Personally used Amazon once. Needed a V-belt for my riding mower, many years ago, had a 48'' cut. I tried to find a replacement the local mower shops, and they were $40- to $70. Thought that was awful high, found one on line delivered for $25 and ordered it.
