as you know im a die hard harley rider and was a die hard yamaha motocross rider. never was a fan of crotch rockets, my back never allowed ne to ride more than a 100 miles leaned over like that. also the hp wars got nuts with factory 200hp bikes with speeds of 200mph that no one but a pro racer could come anywhere near mastering. even todays 600s are insanely powerful. i do kind of like the retro trend. even companies like honda are making 400-700cc bikes bring back a bit of the 70s styling. i think we can thank triump for that when they brought back the retro bonneville. even seeing a return of the old street/trail enduros and wouldnt mind picking up one of them too. but the industry isnt doing well. but the snowmobile industry is in worse shape and the boating and camping industries are in bad shape too. our economy is in sad shape and i think covid kind of put the skids on the recreation industry as a whole because people dont want to be around other people like they use to. what is surprising though is the fact that new bike companies are springing up in china and india especially. royal enfield is growing in leaps and bounds and ebay is full of chinese dirt bikes at a 1/3 the cost of a yamaha. so i think the big ones are going to have to regroup including harley and start making reasonable priced bikes aimed at middle america, quit worrying about which is the fastest, has the biggest info screen or that
they cater to homos!
