I've had several different shotguns and
the BLR's both, and examples of the Belgian
and Japan both.  If you close the eye you
view collectables with, and only use the
eye you look at performance and functionality
with,  there's absolutely no difference.
I only let any of mine go because they aren't
seeing regular use anymore.  No place to
bird hunt anymore, and no rifle shots of
several hundred yards anymore.

Good Luck and I know for a fact you'll
enjoy it

Last A-5 I owned was a Jap made 3" mag. I acquired it used the same day they announced they were going to quit making them (coincidence). I recall the owners manual stating something about a 500 round break in period. Seemed like a lot to me for a hunting gun. I've always been a Remington guy, but that A-5 was probably the best auto loader I ever owned. Prices went crazy when they quit making them. I hunted waterfowl with mine for a couple years, then tripled my investment. Haven't fired a shotgun in almost 15 years and still regret letting that one go.

For a long time I was buyer of about any gun that I found at a great price and knew I could flip it for a profit. I have owned many Brownings from the BSS side by side, Superposed O/U’s and several A 5’s along with the Remington and Savage variations. They were fine guns but It was a hobby of mine to buy sell and trade guns and some were used to hunt with for a time but they all went down the road at some point.

I've owned exactly one A5 Light 12. It had a 26" IC barrel on it. I gave them $200 and got a nickle back in change. That kind of tells you it was a very long time ago.
