Fast Bites chili cheese dog
« on: February 22, 2021, 03:43:45 PM »
Had one earlier today when I'd
kinda went longer than I should
have to eat something.
Really wasn't too awful bad for a
$1.00 microwave something. Needed
a little mustard to put it right, but all
in all it was ok.
I wouldn't buy a bunch of them and
eat em on a regular basis, but if you
find yourself out and about in need
of something to quell the rumbling
and onset dizziness, one of these
will fill the bill. I might have another
before the year is out
I'd sure eat a few of these before I'd
make a pitstop at McSalty's

I can eat a couple of hot dogs
if I've cooked em outside on the
grill, and have some onions and
such to top em off with.
I had my doubts about the microwave
dog today, but I can still see straight
and haven't felt any faintness yet
Not too bad for a dollar

On road trips, Tom Thumb crusty dogs were a treat often.
You waited till late after noon, early evening when they had be goin round n round n round n round on the roller all day long.

A couple of time we almost missed out as the chick was getting ready to toss em; got 'em free once.
A little mustard, and the buns they had were not bad at all, quite a treat.

There is a place up in Duluth , Minn. that sells what is called a true East Coast style Cony Dog; it is out in a part of Duluth off the main path and if the Chinese Virus paranoia has not killed it , I got get up there and try it.

Mustard on a chile dog?
Yes, along with plenty of chopped onions.

I went into a hot dog stand in Virginia where you dared not ask for ketchup. I did. Ya should have seen the pusses on the regulars. Owner told me. Ya can put ketchup on it but ya got to take it to go. So. I says. How about some mustard?

When I was a yute I could eat 3 for a dollar hot dogs with all the crap you could throw on top of them, chili, cheese, onions, jalapeno etc, etc and a two liter pop for breakfast. It would give me a heart attack today...

State or County Fair, hot dogs with either mustard, onions or sauerkraut, rarely used more than one though onions and sauerkraut is great.
Some of the old school, up here German style, foot-longs that had simmered in spiced water all day were as good as it got.

Never have, never will put relish on a hot dog.
