i had a bunch of ammo with conventionally lube sized bullets i wanted to shoot up and reload with pc bullets so ive been exercising my 1911s. Havent shot them much in over 5 years. Seems the 9s and 40s got all the attention. Forgot how much fun a 1911 is. used to shoot more 1911s then all the other guns combined. I shot comp with them and carried one all the time. only thing i dont miss is the pain in the but to strip one down to clean it compared to a glock or M&P

Lloyd,  if you were a little closer I would offer to come over and help burn up those old 45's.  I really love the 1911 ACP. I'm a pretty good gun cleaner too.

i shot it all up. Plus loaded a couple more thousand and shot them too. even started carrying my lightweight commander. probably a temporary phase but it does the job and is as lighf as my sheilds and lighter by far then my sunday go to picnic gun, my springfield emp 40.

Don't neglect those 1911's, I have a couple of loads that I use pc bullets in and they work fine but I need to work on my coating process as they don't look 'pretty' like most peoples do.
