Ephesians Chapter 4 verses 31 and 32
Let all bitterness, and anger, and wrath, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malace;

And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, and forgiving one another,  even for Christs' sake the Father has forgiven you.

Matthew Chapter 6 verses 14 & 15
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.:

But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Folks who hold onto their past anger toward someone for a "real", or "imagined offense", aren't punishing anyone but themselves. Their anger thru their grudges only affects themselves.
Mlre likely than not, everyone else has most likely forgotten it, and moved on.

And that's truth.  8)
