My Mother

Nursing home called last week and said they had a patient in the dementia  wing that had covid 19, and two showing symptoms waiting results.


This afternoon noon they called and said my mom had tested positive, but so far no symptoms.


Prayers if you got time.

Nursing home called about an hour ago and told me moms oxygen levels dropped about 30% from this morning, but she was resting comfortably.

I lost my mother back in the spring,
and I'm still trying to get things
settled.  She had things pretty much
lined out,  but it seems there's so
much red tape that's completely
unnecessary that can't be avoided or
bypassed that it makes you want to
run off and hide somewhere

I've been taking care of her affairs for about 6 or 7 years now. She may beat this covid-19 thing, shes a tough old woman.


But yeah, taking care of her business, making sure the nursing home plays by the rules, and dealing with Medicaid and the State of Texas can be frustrating.

Well, called the home this morning, nurse said mom's blood oxygen level was back into the lower 90s. She was sitting in a chair taking a nap.

Called home, after that one oxygen crash my mother has gone back to normal for her. No other signs of covid symptoms.


I have an old law enforcement friend in Medical City Ft Worth that is having a really rough time with covid.

Just got off the phone with the nursing home. They are working double shifts, and are now, really short handed.


Mom, and several others with covid are not wanting to eat, so have to be coaxed into eating a little.

Talked to the nurse last night that directly interacts with my mother every day. She says that my mother is showing no other symptoms of the covid-19 virus, but others in the unit are.
My ex-law enforcement friend in Medical City Ft Worth is having a terrible time with it.

My mother had the one blood oxygen drop at the beginning of her bout with covid 19, and has since exhibited no symptoms.
