Oatmeal is pretty much the perfect food,
and you can pretty much live off of it for
a long time without much else

Oats like all grasses is missing the essential amino acid lysine that is needed to synthesize protein in the human body.  Us omnivores don't have to worry about this but if one were to try to live off a dedicated diet of grains (grasses,)  they would have heath problems not far down the road.  If one needed to live off a grain diet for necessity by choice, they would need to add some legumes in to the mix to have a full protein.  I like the taste of peanut butter in oatmeal and little did I know when I started doing that, I was making a healthier breakfast...

I like Oats, have them several times a week I use wild honey on mine along with Raisins once in a while, makes a great Breakfast.
