I'm sure  this  has  been asked, and  it  is probably a dumb question......

The reamer is being shipped to me as we speak.

Once I ream it, will I still be able to shoot .357 mag and .38 special?

Yes Sir, you can.Of course if you shoot a lot of 38 Spec,357's you will/may have to clean the chamber to keep a build up, from forming a "ridge"  not a real problem. I have fired several thousand 38 Spec in 357's and with normal maintance I have never had a problem.   hth    Doug

Yep you shure can, just used the reamer not to long ago, easey to do, your going to like the max. Like canon6 said not a problem shooting 38 or 357 out of it just clean it after shooting, if I'm going to shoot both at the same time I'll shoot the max first then 357 and 38's last, enjoy it and let us know how it does,   there are no dumb questions, ask away.

Will the reamed chamber affect the accuracy of the .357 mag and .38 special rounds?

Yep you sure can. I have been shooting mine with .38s, .357s, .360DWs, and .357 max for around seven years now since DJ passed around the reamer. I think that was sometime in the last century. ::)

Anyhow it shoots just as well with light plinker .38s as it dose with Maximums. 8)

After I changed mine to MAXIMUM I wondered too how it would affect accuracy with the 38's & 357 Mag and this was what I got with the 357 Mags I had previously zeroed with my Handi.

My Maxi was a factory chamber so I have no comparison of before and after accuracy... BUT, its shoots mags just about as well. Admittedly I haven't looked hard for the best accuracy out of mag offerings. 38 Spls are easily minute of soda can out to 50 yards or so...that's all the kids care about!!

In my re-chambered 454 Casull the 45 Colts that shot so well before where NOT accurate afterwards. BUT< just a bit of load developmant netted an equilly accurate 45Colt load from the longer Casull chamber so its fine too.
