This is a Napoleon scaled to use the 1.25x10 piece.  Click the image for a dimensioned drawing.



Note that the dimensions of the barrel at its smallest point are .8176 and .8117; the center line somewhat obscures the central 1.  And the radius behind the muzzle swell is 2.904".

Finally started on entry no. 1.  Below is the roughed out Napoleon barrel.  It is 8 3/16" long which is about 11.4% of full scale.  The muzzle swell is straight for the moment but will be curved before it is finished.

Now with trunnions in their sockets but not welded.

I have finally done the cascable, although it still needs to have the center hole welded up.  So I will weld the trunnions and the cascable and drill the vent and the barrel will be done.  Haven't decided if I will make a No. 1 carriage for it yet.  That's a lot of work.
